Dr Melaneia Warwick
Dr Melaneia Warwick is a Research Associate who has a PhD in Participatory Arts from the University of Brighton. Melaneia is based in Kenya and works on projects in East Africa including ICMiiST, Non-Communicable Lung Disease in Kenya, and the APHRC Wellcome Trust International Engagement Fellowship. Her role includes developing capacity building workshops with mixed stakeholder groups for which she works in a range of settings including on-the-ground in high density unofficial settlements. She also uses a range of participatory visual methodologies including digital storytelling, photovoice and wearable camera technologies to undertake practice-led research. She is currently exploring the ways in which the qualitative data collected via these methodologies can be combined with quantitative data for research and policy engagement purposes. Melaneia is a Winston Churchill Fellow and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
