INTERACT MADE SMARTER NETWORK+

Date: 2021-2025

Funder: Economic and Social Research Council

Partners: Strathclyde University; Sheffield University

Value: £4.4m

The Made Smarter Network+ seeks to explore and tackle the barriers to take up of digital technology across the UK manufacturing industry. One of the five key strands of the project has been a Storytelling Fellowship programme, led by Pip Hardy and Tony Sumner, whereby network members were trained in digital storytelling practices and encouraged to train their colleagues. The collection of digital stories created as a result of the fellowships then formed an invaluable resource for understanding the relationships between people, manufacturing and technology.
