We are home to a thriving community of doctoral researchers, working across a range of applied storytelling practices. An international cohort, they come from a variety of academic backgrounds spanning health, journalism and business as well as the creative arts.

PhD opportunities | Postgraduate study | Loughborough University

We have four fully-funded studentships available for starting in October 2026, one is associated with the programme of the UNESCO Chair in Storytelling Education for Sustainability and three are part of EM-SLAM (East Midlands Sustainable Living and Mental Well-Being), our new doctoral training centre, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
