Storytelling Academy to Launch New Online Reading Group
For the next academic year, the Storytelling Academy will be hosting an online reading group. The group will run fortnightly on Wednesdays for one and a half hours during the Autumn and Spring terms. For each meeting the group will read in advance a piece of writing relating to some aspect of storytelling theory and/or practice, which will then form the basis for discussion and debate.
The sessions are primarily aimed at the staff, postgraduate students and doctoral researchers at the Storytelling Academy, as well as colleagues from our partner institutions. For 2025-26, for example, we will be joined by staff and students from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), making these sessions transatlantic dialogues. We will, however, also reserve a limited number of places for external friends and colleagues, including members of the public and prospective students.
