Empathy in Trust in Communicating Online (EMoTiCON)

Funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure. The EMoTICON – Empathy and Trust in Communicating Online grant commissioned new research to explore how trust and empathy occur in, and subsequently shape, online communities. It will help develop greater understanding of how empathy and trust are developed, maintained, transformed and lost in social media interactions. 

Creative Methodologies to Investigate Sustainable Transport (CMist)  

The CMist network is funded by Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of their work for Global Challenges Research Fund. The work for this project is being conducted in Eastern Africa. The network is led by Steve Cinderby at the Stockholm Environment Institute at the Universities of York. The network is a cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional working with a range of creative methodologies to address and co-design responses to questions of sustainable transport.
