CREATIVITY workshops in Sunny Siena

Last week members of the Storytelling Academy team spent the week in beautiful Siena, Italy for the first week of workshops for the CREATIVITY project.

🎯 The project aims to educate, strengthen, and encourage 12-18 years old schoolchildren to practically demonstrate four competencies (4Cs):

✅ Creativity

✅ Critical thinking

✅ Cooperation

✅ Communication

We took part in workshops in Clowning, Creative Writing, Photography (both as a treasure hunt and collections) and Loughborough were delivering workshops in Digital Storytelling. It was wonderful to see both educators from around Europe and students from Sienna engaging in these wonderful workshops and exploring ways of developing skills in Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Critical thinking.

While out there we also meet as a team to start to develop ideas for an online platform that will house these workshop materials. This platform will then be available for teachers and students to access and deliver/participate in the workshops. There will also be the facility to allow students to create a digital portfolio that they can use to demonstrate their skills to employers or higher academic institutions.

The Storytelling Academy was represented by Professor Mike Wilson, Dr Antonia Liguori, Sally Bellman and Jennifer Stuttle
